The Organizing Committee of the African Continental Stage of the FIDE ISCF World Schools Team Championship 2026 places the highest priority on the health and safety of all participants, guests and officials.
The Organizing Committee is closely monitoring the epidemiological situation in the region and remains in close contact with the competent authorities of the Republic of South Africa and the Western Cape. The Committee is guided by, and will strictly follow, the official guidance and recommendations of the responsible health authorities at every stage of the preparation and conduct of the Championship.
Medical support will be provided at the competition venue. The Organizing Committee will agree upon and document an appropriate health protocol in advance and will promptly coordinate with the relevant services should the need arise.
The Organizing Committee will keep participants and the public duly informed as official guidance becomes available.
