ISCF CCA Conference – Smart Moves Americas: Governments That Think Ahead

A high-level ministerial and institutional conference held within the FIDE ISCF World Schools Team Championship 2026 – American Continental Stage, bringing together government leaders, education authorities, international organizations, chess federations, schools, and academic institutions to advance chess as a public policy for education and explore how chess can contribute to stronger education systems, critical thinking, and the development of future-ready skills.

8+ countries represented**, including Costa Rica , United States , Guyana , Barbados , Dominican Republic , El Salvador , Kazakhstan , and Spain **, with additional international delegations to be announced.

The programme includes:

* Ministerial and institutional panel discussions
* Keynote presentations by international experts
* High-level networking and policy dialogue
* Regional cooperation initiatives and memorandum signing
* Exchange of best practices in Chess in Education
* Discussion of practical approaches to integrating chess into national and regional education strategies

The conference aims to foster international cooperation, policy dialogue, and knowledge exchange around the role of chess in education, connecting decision-makers and practitioners to identify scalable approaches and opportunities for collaboration across the Americas and beyond.

Hosted by the International School Chess Federation (ISCF) and the Confederation of Chess for the Americas (CCA) in cooperation with FIDE.
